RAISER'S EDGE NXT

Database View Is Ending.
Let's Get You Ready for Web View.

324

days until Database View support ends on September 15, 2027

Blackbaud is moving everything in Raiser's Edge NXT into a single Web View experience. You have time, but not unlimited time. Teams that start now transition on their own schedule instead of scrambling in 2027.

What's changing, in plain English

Raiser's Edge NXT isn't going away

Blackbaud is consolidating into one interface. Web View is where the product is headed; Database View is the part being retired.

Your data isn't at risk

Nothing disappears today. What changes is where and how your team does its work: queries, imports, exports, global changes and reports.

NetCommunity and Online Express end too

Both reach end of support on the same date. If you rely on either, you're looking at a replacement project, and budgeting should start now.

Which one sounds like you?

How much work this is depends on how deeply your team lives in Database View.

"We're mostly in Web View already"

Few custom processes and simple query and export needs. You likely just need confirmation that nothing is hiding in Database View.

Start with: Free consultation

"Database View is our daily home"

Heavy queries, global changes, imports, custom Crystal or Access reports, or staff who've only ever used Database View.

Start with: Readiness Check

"We use NetCommunity or Online Express"

These end alongside Database View, so you need a replacement for forms and email. This is the most urgent group.

Start with: Consultation, then Readiness Check

A realistic transition timeline

Do it in Web View first. Fall back to Database View only when a task isn't possible yet.

Q4 2026

Get through year-end and test everything you can in Web View

Name a transition leader, inventory your critical processes, and try year-end acknowledgements, receipts and new appeals in Web View. This is your only chance to test year-end before the deadline.

Q1 2027

At least 50% of gift management in Web View

Train staff, move recurring gifts, forms and events, start posting gifts from Web View, and talk to third-party vendors about their Web View plans

Q2 2027

At least 75% in Web View

Run both views in parallel on purpose. Have your most Database View–reliant staff try everything in Web View, and document the workarounds.

Q3 2027

100% in Web View by the end of August 2027

Leave a few weeks of buffer before September 15. Then join us for the Database View Wake.

A reminder that matters: your staff may feel real frustration or grief about losing familiar workflows and hard-won expertise. Plan for the people, not just the software

Questions you might be asking

When does Raiser's Edge NXT Database View end?

Support ends September 15, 2027. Blackbaud NetCommunity and Blackbaud Online Express reach end of support on the same date.

Will our custom Crystal or Access reports carry over?

Not guaranteed. Reports built against Database View should be reviewed early, mapped to Web View equivalents, or rebuilt.

Will our integrations keep working?

Integrations built on Blackbaud's SKY API keep working. Anything that depends on Database View, like plug-ins and certain import routines, needs attention.

Is this the moment to switch CRMs?

Maybe. A forced change is a natural checkpoint to ask whether Raiser's Edge is still the right fit. We're vendor-agnostic, so we'll give you a straight answer either way.

Nonprofit-exclusive

We only serve nonprofits, and we understand how your teams actually work.

Fluent in every major CRM
